Started to see the fruits of our TV Stills shoot with the CBBC Blue Peter presenters appearing across the web in 2017. We shot a whole array of images of Barney, Lindsey and Radzi for the long-running BBC series in 2016, covering everything from their seasonal activities through to Red Nose Day and Children in Need.
Blue Peter is a British kids television show, currently live on CBBC TV. A significant part of the British television landscape, it first aired in 1958 and is now the longest-running kids’ TV show in the world. The show has a nautical title and theme, across it’s magazine/entertainment format – containing viewer and presenter challenges, as well as the famous ‘here’s one i made early’ craft slots.
During its history there have been many presenters, often consisting of two women and two men at a time. The current presenters are Barney Harwood, Lindsey Russell and Radzi Chinyanganya. The show is produced at the BBC’s Media City studios in Salford, near Manchester. The location is home to the famous Blue Peter Garden, used during the summer months or for outdoor activities. The programme has always featured a number of pets; currently a tortoise called Shelly makes appearances from time to time. www.jonparkerlee.com

Manchester business portraits – Jon Parker Lee
Like the rest of the world’s media I went to Leicester to capture the moment they won the Premier League title…only they didn’t…at least not on the Sunday.
Unlike the rest of the world’s media I couldn’t hang around for the celebrations that eventually came the following day. It was fun to be in the city for an afternoon though and see a tiny bit of a remarkable sporting story.
We did get a bit of coverage for some of the many lucky punters who placed money on Leicester City FC to win the league, as here:
