We visited Manchester Technology centre last month to cover an event for Fund her North and produce some group shots and portrait photography.
Fund Her North is a Northern based volunteer collective of over 28 women with a combined investment power of over £450 million.
Each of the members of the collective has already made a lasting effect on female entrepreneurs in the North and have heavily invested in female-led start-up businesses.

The steering group also includes Jess Jackson, head of investment at GC Angels; Charlotte Ashton, founding director of Implicit Advisory; Samantha Piddington, head of corporate finance at Deepbridge Capital; Jordan Dargue, board director at NorthInvest and founding director of Dargue Associates; and Chi-chi Ekweozor, entrepreneur and founder of Assenty Ltd.

Following its launch in October 2020, Fund Her North has facilitated investment worth more than £4.2m for six Northern businesses – Umii, Supplywell, Green Bean, K9 Nation, Settl’d and Culture Shift.

The regional volunteer collective is the first of its kind in the UK and aims to encourage more women in the North to apply for investments and funding to support entrepreneurship and grow female-led businesses, particularly in a post-Covid world.
