Manchester City Trophy Parade
It was back to the old press photography days yesterday as we had a great day covering the Manchester City Trophy Parade for the Manchester Evening News. It’s always a gamble trying to find a good spot, but got some great shots and plenty of press coverage, and of course the sunny weather helped bring out fans in their thousands!
Manchester City fans were out to celebrate winning the Premier League title with an open-top bus parade through the city streets complete with flags flying and smoke from blue flares. The players then made their way to a stage on Deansgate with the Premier League trophy and Carabao Cup.
City won the title with five games to spare in April and went on to accumulate a record-breaking 100 points. They also scored 106 goals and won 32 games as they finished 19 points ahead of their nearest rivals Manchester United.
