How to work up a photo story.
What began as a daft idea in the pub was deftly executed to garner media coverage across the world. We built and manned a pretend border control point just three days before the Scottish independence referendum back in September.I work on a lot of stories across press and PR photography, but don’t often get the chance to work up my own stories anymore. It was hard graft pulling this together, but it looked good in the end and it was timed just right.
We ended up with interviews on the BBC Radio 2 Jeremy Vine show, Channel 4 News and we topped the bill for Mail Online…who officially named me a ‘prankster’. Lots of coverage across the UK and as far afield as Australia, The USA and Brazil. Credit especially to the crew who helped bring it together.
